My original VMware hard disk file that was not booting was still connect, and I transferred all my settings to the new Mac OS High Sierra file that is on the page here. During setup I selected transfer from other mac. Once the Apple logo passes, power down the virtual machine, then set the Guest operating system option back to Apple Mac OS X, selecting the correct version. What I did to fix Problem 12 was to use the High Sierra file from this page. Press OK, then attempt to power up the virtual machine again. Change the Guest operating system to Microsoft Windows, and the Version to Windows 10 圆4. Also tried command-option-o-f and the boot cd. the HD and the CD show up and I use the mouse to choose the CD and then even left it overnight but still spinning in the morning. Now, head to Settings > Options > General. it shows on the desktop and I click 'Install OS x' and it asks to restart the computer.
